Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 October 2026
This policy covers the iOS game Mafia Legacy: War Strategy (“the game”) and the website mafialegacy.com (“the site”). It is written in plain language on purpose.
The short version
- The current version of the game does not collect your personal data. It has no account, no ads, no analytics service, no crash-reporting service, no real-money purchases and no chat, and it does not send your data to any server.
- Your progress and some diagnostic logs stay on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.
- If a future version adds online features, we will tell you here and in the App Store before that version is released.
1. Who we are
Mafia Legacy is made by an independent studio (“we”, “us”). Contact for anything about privacy: [email protected].
2. The game today (current version)
What the game stores on your device. The game saves files in its own storage on your device:
- your game progress (save files and their backups);
- your settings, for example language, graphics options and whether tips are shown;
- an anonymous random installation ID that the game generates on first launch. It is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, advertising ID or any hardware identifier;
- diagnostic logs: gameplay events (for example buildings built or fights played, with timestamps) and error logs, used to find bugs and balance the game.
What leaves your device. Nothing, unless you choose to send it. The game does not connect to our servers or to any analytics, advertising or crash-reporting service. We do not receive your save files, logs or installation ID.
Send diagnostics. In Settings > Support, Send diagnostics opens your device’s share menu with a file containing the game’s diagnostic logs, error log, anonymous installation ID and basic technical details (app version, iOS version, device model, language); nothing is sent unless you choose a recipient and send it yourself.
Sharing files yourself. In some builds, such as test builds, the game’s folder is visible in the iOS Files app so you can send us a log file when you report a problem. Sending a file is always your own action. If you send us a log, we use it only to investigate the problem you reported and delete it when it is no longer needed.
Apple. Apple provides the operating system, the App Store and TestFlight. If you install a test version through TestFlight, Apple may collect crash reports, usage metrics and feedback you submit there, under Apple’s own privacy policy. If you use device or iCloud backups, Apple may back up the game’s files as part of the backup, under your settings and Apple’s terms.
Permissions. The game does not ask for access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or location, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.
3. Keeping and deleting your data
All game data lives on your device. To delete it, delete the app. This removes the save files, settings, installation ID and logs. A “Reset local data” option in the game’s Settings does the same without removing the app, when it is available in your version. Because we do not hold your data on our side, there is nothing for us to delete on a server. If you sent us a file or an email, write to [email protected] and we will delete it.
4. Children
The game is rated for ages 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. In the current version the game collects no personal information from anyone. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, for example by email, contact [email protected] and we will delete it. If a later version adds accounts or online features, we will not allow sign-up by users under the minimum age that applies in their country, and we will describe our age checks here.
5. Your rights
Under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the Turkish KVKK (Law No. 6698) you may have the right to ask whether we process your personal data, to access, correct or delete it, to object to processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. In the current version of the game we hold no personal data about you on our side, so there is usually nothing to access, correct or delete. If you have contacted us, for example by email or by sending a log file, we hold that message. Write to [email protected] to exercise any right. We aim to answer within 30 days.
6. This website
mafialegacy.com is an information page. It does not use cookies, advertising trackers or sign-up forms, and it does not ask for or store any personal data.
To count visits, the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies or local storage, does not fingerprint your browser and does not follow you across other websites. It records anonymous page views in aggregate (page address, referring site, country, browser and device type). We cannot identify you from these numbers. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the page and protect it against abuse. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.
7. If this changes in the future
The current version is a single-player experience with local saves. Later versions are planned to add online features. If that happens, this is what may change:
- Accounts and cloud saves: an account identifier (and an email address only if you choose a sign-in method that needs one), and your game progress stored on our servers so you can continue on another device.
- Multiplayer and social features: your player name, in-game activity and any messages you send to other players, stored on our servers and visible to the players involved.
- Analytics and diagnostics: gameplay events, crash reports and your installation ID sent to our servers or to service providers that process data for us.
- Purchases: purchase records handled by Apple. We may receive confirmation that a purchase happened.
- Account deletion: an in-game way to delete your account and its data.
Before any of this ships, we will update this policy and show a new date at the top, update the App Privacy details on the App Store, show an in-game notice and ask for your consent where the law requires it, and name the service providers that process data for us.
8. Changes to this policy
We will post changes on this page and update the date above. For material changes we will also tell you in the app or on the App Store page.
